Time Portal Gaurdian (Weekend Reflections # 149)

Florence, Italy

I had just walked through the Ufizzi Gallery Courtyard when I stepped over this puddle on my way to look for reflections on the Arno river. Good thing I decided to look back. It almost seemed like a gateway to another time.

Have a wonderful Weekend!

Exactly what I was thinking: the gardian of a secrete door leading to an other time...Everywhere you look at in Florence, everything is beautiful..

I bow down to your reflection awesomeness!! Amazing photo and beautifully processed as well.
I missed last week, but just did a little sneak peek of your shot along the water. I like that you left the buildings upside down.
Happy weekend James. Hope all is well.

Wow, that is a beautiful, clear reflection and it certainly does look like a portal to another time. I recall visiting the Ufizzi Gallery in 1971 when I was leading a tour group for American Youth Hosteling.

The sculpture looks as if it is being formed out of the liquid! Like a metamorphosis. The variety of texture is gorgeous and I love the subtle earth tones. Quite an original image to say the very least. I don't know if I would have been able to deconstruct it without the narrative...
